Commonly used types include R-type rivets, fan rivets, pop rivets, tree shaped rivets, semi-circular head, flat head, semi hollow rivets, solid rivets, countersunk head rivets, pop rivets, and hollow rivets, which are usually connected to the riveted parts using their own deformation. Generally, cold riveting is used for sizes smaller than 8 millimeters, while hot riveting is used for sizes larger than this. But there are exceptions, such as the nameplates on some locks, which are riveted using the interference fit between rivets and lock body holes.
R-type plastic rivets, also known as expansion rivets, consist of two parts: plastic sub nails and female buckles. It does not require the use of installation tools during installation. The installation base is placed in a smooth hole, and then the head is pressed down. The specially designed foot expands and expands under force, firmly locking onto the installed surface. It is commonly used to connect plastic shells, lightweight boards, insulation materials, circuit boards, or any other lightweight and lightweight materials. It is beautiful, practical, and easy to use.
Fan rivets are specifically designed for manual installation, and can be pulled in through holes in the panel or chassis. They are made of elastic material with good toughness and can be quickly installed even during interference fit assembly. Cleverly designed with elastic function and corresponding aperture, it is not easy to slide out after being pulled in. Fan rivets are mainly used for fixing fans, heat sinks, and chips in electronic computer cases, with anti vibration and noise reduction capabilities.
Core rivet is a new type of riveting fastener that is very convenient for riveting. Core rivet can demonstrate its unique advantages in relatively small spaces or environments without or where rivet guns cannot be used. By using a hammer or other object to strike the nail core on one side, two or several connected parts can be successfully riveted together. Core rivets can be divided into flat round head core rivets and countersunk core rivets according to the shape of the nail cap brim. Depending on the material combination, they can be divided into all aluminum core rivets, aluminum steel core rivets, all stainless steel core rivets, steel steel core rivets, aluminum stainless steel core rivets, plastic core rivets, etc. Core rivets do not require the use of manual or pneumatic riveting guns like pop rivets for riveting. They have better riveting performance and convenience, and can be widely used for riveting various connected parts.
Plastic tree rivets, also known as inverted tooth shaped plastic rivets, are also called Christmas tree shaped plastic rivets. The tooth shaped sheet has good elasticity and can be installed directly by manual pressing in the round hole of interference assembly. The tooth shaped sheet can be fixed according to the actual thickness and size. The inverted tooth shaped rivet is designed to be firmly fixed on the installation surface after installation, and is not easy to be pulled out. It is suitable for fixing between soft materials such as foam, wood, rubber, and automobile interior trim. Plastic tree shaped rivets have excellent insulation, fire resistance, non-magnetic properties, thermal insulation, lightweight, high temperature resistance, high strength, and corrosion resistance, and are widely used in various industrial fields.
